Are Derila pillows legit? The Derila Ergo memory foam pillow checked: reviews, complaints, refunds and your order number
The adverts are everywhere, the discount banner never seems to end, and somebody on Facebook says they were scammed. Fair enough to ask: is the Derila pillow legit? I've bought one, slept on it for four weeks and read through the complaints. Here's what I found, and how to protect yourself when you order.

Quick answers: yes, Derila is a real brand selling a real product. The Derila Ergo pillow arrived, it's what the pictures show, and the 60-day returns policy is written down on the official website. The complaints are real too, but they're mostly about the checkout pushing extras and some order and delivery hiccups, not about a pillow that doesn't exist. The genuine risk is buying from an imitation by mistake.
Derila pillow scam or legit? What the evidence says
A scam takes your money and sends nothing, or sends something worthless. Here's how Derila measures up against that.
| Check | What we found |
|---|---|
| Does the product exist? | Yes. I received a Derila Ergo: butterfly-shaped high-density memory foam, 54 x 36 cm, about 12 cm high, about 1 kg |
| Public reviews | 4.1/5 on Trustpilot from 46,037 reviews (checked 5 October 2026), 23,781 of them in the past 12 months |
| Response to complaints | The company replies to 100% of negative Trustpilot reviews |
| Returns | 60 days from delivery on the official site, even if you change your mind; refund within 14 working days; postage not refunded |
| Medical claims | The brand says its visuals are illustrative and not based on clinical comparisons; it's not a medical device |
| Imitations | Yes: "Derilo Ergo" (derilo-ergo.com), rated 1.7/5 from 27 Trustpilot reviews |
That's not what a scam looks like. A business with tens of thousands of reviews, a written returns process and a customer service team answering complaints is a legitimate retailer. Whether the pillow suits you is a separate question, and I answer that in my full Derila pillow review after four weeks.
What about the "under investigation" headlines?
Search "Derila Ergo scam" and you'll find press releases with dramatic titles about investigations and hidden risks. These are press releases, which companies and marketers pay to publish through distribution services. They aren't decisions by a regulator or a court. Read them as marketing, in either direction.
Derila complaints: what unhappy customers actually say
13% of Derila's Trustpilot reviews are 1 star and 3% are 2 stars. I read through them to see what goes wrong. Three themes come up again and again.
1. The checkout pushes extras
This is the most common Derila Ergo complaint by far. During the order, the site offers pillowcases and other add-ons, and some customers feel the pressure is too much or end up with something they didn't mean to buy. My advice: slow down at checkout, untick anything you don't want and read the basket total before you pay.
2. Order and delivery problems
A minority of reviews describe late deliveries or problems with an order. Online Q&A sites show the same kind of question: people who placed the order and then weren't sure what they'd been charged for, or couldn't find their receipt. When the number of pillows or the amount looks wrong, the first thing to check is the pack and extras selected at checkout. That's why the order number and confirmation email matter (see below).
3. "I couldn't get used to it"
Some buyers find the foam too firm or the height wrong for them. That's a fair criticism of the pillow, not a sign of a scam. Memory foam pillows feel firmer than traditional pillows at first, and a contour shape takes a few nights to learn. It took me three or four. Stomach sleepers in particular tend to struggle, because at about 12 cm the pillow lifts the head.
On the positive side, the reviews talk mainly about comfort, a less stiff neck, calmer nights, and some people breathing more easily or snoring less.
Problems with your Derila pillow order: order number, charges and receipts
A lot of the "scammed by Derila" posts turn out to be confusion about an order rather than a missing one. If something doesn't look right, work through this:
- Find your confirmation email and note your order number. Check spam and promotions folders too.
- Compare what you were charged with what you selected: the pack size (1, 2, 4 pillows), any pillowcases or extras, and delivery.
- Check the web address you ordered from. If it wasn't the official Derila site, your order may not be with Derila at all.
- Contact customer support through the contact form on the official website, quoting your order number. Keep a copy of what you send.
- Still stuck? If you paid by card or PayPal and the seller doesn't respond, your card provider or PayPal can tell you what options you have. Citizens Advice can also explain your consumer rights.
Read the terms of service before you pay; they set out delivery, returns and refunds.
Can you return a Derila pillow and get a refund?
Yes, if you bought it on the official site. This is the part I'd want to know before ordering, so here it is plainly:
- You have 60 days from delivery, including if you've simply changed your mind.
- Fill in the contact form. You'll be given a return number (RMA) and the address to send it to.
- Post the pillow back. Use a tracked service and keep the receipt.
- The refund comes within 14 working days of them receiving the parcel.
- Postage is not refunded, neither the original delivery nor the cost of sending it back.
Bought it from a reseller on Amazon or elsewhere? Then it's that seller's returns policy, not Derila's. That's one more reason to buy your Derila Ergo pillow direct.
Buy the original Derila Ergo with 60-day returnsOfficial Derila site · 60-day returnsHow to spot a fake Derila Ergo website
The main legit-or-not risk isn't Derila itself. It's ending up somewhere else. Search Google for the pillow and you'll see several websites with "Derila" in the address. We can't vouch for all of them. And there's a known imitation, "Derilo Ergo", with one letter changed and a 1.7/5 Trustpilot score.
- Check the spelling: Derila, not Derilo.
- Verify the address bar before you enter any payment method.
- Look for the returns policy. The real one gives 60 days from delivery. If a site has no clear policy, leave.
- Be suspicious of a price that's far below everyone else's.
- Use a link you trust. The buttons on this site go to the official Derila shop.

Is the Derila Ergo memory foam pillow any good? Reviews, Reddit and consumer reports
Legit and good are two different questions. On quality, here's where things stand.
Consumer bodies. Which? tests pillows for comfort, neck support and how cool they feel, but we found no published Which? test of the Derila (October 2026). We found no Consumer Reports test of it either. So when you see "are Derila pillows any good consumer reports" in Google suggestions, there's no lab result behind it that we could find.
Reddit and forums. Opinions are mixed in the way you'd expect: side sleepers and back sleepers with neck pain tend to be positive; stomach sleepers and people who like a soft pillow less so; and people with sleep apnoea are rightly sceptical of anything sold as a breathing aid.
My own test. As an ergonomic pillow for neck pain, it worked for me: after the first week my neck was noticeably less stiff in the morning, and the foam core held its shape all night, which a feather pillow never did. The Derila Ergo design, with a hollow for the head and wings for the side, keeps the head and neck in better spinal alignment than standard pillows. It's firm, though, and it isn't for everyone.
Do those sleep apnea and anti-snore pillows really work?
Only up to a point. A pillow that makes side sleeping comfortable can ease snoring that's worse on your back. It doesn't treat obstructive sleep apnoea, and it's no substitute for professional advice or a CPAP machine. I've covered this properly on a separate page: the Derila pillow and sleep apnea.
My verdict: is the Derila Ergo pillow legit?
Yes. Derila is a genuine brand, the pillow exists and does what a good contour pillow should, and the 60-day returns are a real safety net if you buy from the official site. The complaints are worth knowing about: watch the checkout, keep your order number, and don't expect a medical miracle. The real danger is a lookalike website.

Are Derila pillows legit?
Yes. Derila is a real brand with 4.1/5 from 46,037 Trustpilot reviews, a written 60-day returns policy on its official site and a team that replies to complaints. Beware of imitations such as "Derilo Ergo".
Do Derila pillows really work, according to reviews?
For many back and side sleepers, yes: 77% of Trustpilot reviews are 4 or 5 stars, mostly praising comfort and a less stiff neck. It takes three or four nights to adjust and suits front sleepers less well.
Are Derila pillows any good, according to consumer reports?
We found no published test of the Derila by Which? or Consumer Reports (October 2026). The best evidence available is owner reviews and the 60-day returns, which let you test it yourself.
Do those sleep apnea pillows really work?
They don't treat sleep apnoea. At best they help you stay on your side, which can reduce positional snoring. If you have apnoea, follow your doctor's advice and keep using CPAP if prescribed.
How effective are anti-snore pillows?
They can help people who snore mainly on their back, by making side sleeping comfortable. They do little for snoring caused by a blocked nose, alcohol or weight.
I can't find my Derila order. What should I do?
Look for your confirmation email and order number, check the pack and extras you selected, then contact customer support through the official website's contact form, quoting the order number.
